Aquatomic® Hydrating Magnets
The AQUATOMIC Hydrating Magnets serve to “decluster” the water so that it may become more bio-available. By declustering the water, your body will absorb it faster and more efficiently, which in turn will hydrate you quicker. Drinking water that has been exposed to a magnetic field is great for anyone looking to stay hydrated and get the most out of their water.
How it works
Water (H2O) is made up of hydrogen and oxygen. These elements bond together. Typical H2O groups together in clusters of 10-12 molecules. These clusters are held together by surface tension. Magnets will affect this surface tension and the angle that hydrogen and oxygen stick together, causing them to group together in smaller clusters, about 6-7 molecules. Essentially breaking up larger clusters of molecules into smaller clusters.
Benefits
Smaller water clusters, or groupings, are absorbed easier and quicker by our bodies. Jon Barron, internationally renowned health expert, says:
The smaller the groupings, the more bio-available the water is -- the more easily it is able to pass through cell walls, to transport nutrients and remove waste, to facilitate all of the communications systems in your body, and to pass through your body as a whole. The larger the groupings, the more inefficient water is at performing these same functions... What holds water molecules together in clusters is surface tension. Magnetizing your drinking water breaks its surface tension, making it wetter and more useable by every cell in your body.
Magnetization process
For running water, this effect of the magnets occurs immediately as the water passes through the magnetic field. For water travelling through pipes passing our Whole House AQUATOMIC or through one of our sink units such as the AQ-135F/AT the effect occurs immediately.
For stagnate water, that is water in a bottle, glass, jar, etc., the effect will take between 5 to 15 minutes. Once declustered, there is no harm in leaving the water exposed to the magnetic field. The effect of exposure to the device will stay for 12-24 hours after the removal from the field.
Type of Magnets
We use neodymium magnets which are a neodymium iron-boron rare earth substance that are about 10 times stronger than typical iron-ferrite magnets. They are sometimes referred to as “super magnets.”
The magnets have an extremely long lifespan. Their degradation rate is 1% per 100 years. That is, over 100 years, the strength of the magnets will reduce by just 1%. However, heating the magnets above 80 degrees Celsius (176 F) will begin to accelerate this degrading. If you wish to use the device on a hot beverage that is totally fine, however we recommend using an insulated cup or mug.
AQUATOMIC - The Science behind it
Did you know that North Pole and South Pole magnets have a different effect on your water? North pole magnets can have a calming and healing effect on the body and will help to overcome infection since it retards the growth of cells. South pole magnets do the opposite, it has a stimulating effect on the body and encourages the growth of human cells and even plant cells. Just like magnets have an effect on your body, they also have an effect on your water. North pole water (water exposed to the north pole of a magnet) will increase the amount of scale build up, whereas south pole water will reduce scale accumulation. We have found that using both has an overall positive effect on reducing the cluster size of water molecules (making the water wetter).
